![]() This game resembles real life in a way that you slowly build relationships with the characters. The characters & their stories are really nice. It's also good that the game lets you sometimes prepare for future content by opening up areas before the main & side quests and commissions start requiring materials from those areas so you don't get behind on your commissions and have everything ready for the next part of the story.Ĥ. Breaking rocks, chopping trees, hitting the scrap yard, going into the desert, all of that feels good to do and there's enough of stuff to gather to expend your energy bar in a few minutes. Gathering & finding materials in the overworld is satisfying. Also, you get an automated builder that does build stuff for you even for the main/side quests.ģ. Later on in the game you don't even have to mine ores & break scrap piles anymore if you want, since you can pay a relatively harmless sum of money for ores & scrap to be delivered to your door on daily basis. You don't have to spend a major part of your day engaged in building/crafting, just put stuff in the queue and go do the thing you want to do. ![]() Most of the building is automated, except for the side-quests and the main story things where you usually construct bespoke things on the one-off basis. The building mechanics are satisfying & don't burden the player. There are also overlapping narratives, and sometimes you see two things playing out at around the same time, which either complete separately or connect to each other eventually in some way.Ģ. I really liked this approach and I think it serves the game well. The game lets you get your bearings, settle in, find your way around and then opens up bit by bit as you play. It doesn't overwhelm you with quests and press you down with the narrative. ![]() It starts relatively harmless, but the longer it goes, the deeper the rabbit hole becomes. However, I leave a negative review, generally because of one extremely major flaw and some other things that make my eye twitch.ġ. ![]() It has a lot going for it and, even though I am not a huge fan of Stardew Valley type of games, I really enjoyed this game, albeit with some caveats. TL DR, this game is well worth the full asking price. ![]()
